How to use DropEx

From first login to international payouts—follow these sections in order or jump ahead using the navigation.

Getting Started

Registration and profile setup

  1. 1Create your account with email and password or Google; use an address you can access for verification codes.
  2. 2Confirm your email if prompted, then sign in and land on the dashboard tailored to your role.
  3. 3Complete your profile: full name, phone with country code, and at least one delivery address with landmarks where couriers need them.
  4. 4Upload any business documents if you plan to sell—verification unlocks payouts and higher limits.

Tips

  • Use the same phone number for M-Pesa that you save on your profile to avoid payment mismatches.
  • Enable two-factor options when available to protect bids and payouts.

Shipping

Creating orders and tracking

  1. 1From checkout or logistics, enter origin, destination, package weight and dimensions, and declared value.
  2. 2Compare service levels (standard vs express) and pick one that matches your deadline and budget.
  3. 3Pay using an accepted method; your confirmation email and order screen show the tracking number once generated.
  4. 4Open Track Shipment or your Orders list anytime—status moves from processing to in transit to delivered as scans arrive.

Tips

  • Photograph high-value items before handoff; it speeds up claims if packaging is questioned.
  • If the recipient is not you, add their reachable phone so the last-mile courier can coordinate.

Marketplace

Browsing, buying, and selling

  1. 1Browse categories, filters, and seller stores; read shipping regions and return windows on each listing.
  2. 2Add to cart, review totals including tax and shipping, then check out with a saved or new address.
  3. 3Sellers: create listings with accurate photos, SKUs, and handling times; respond to buyer messages promptly.
  4. 4After delivery, leave a review and monitor disputes only inside the order timeline so records stay centralized.

Tips

  • Favorite stores you trust—DropEx surfaces their new listings in your feed when enabled.
  • For bulk quotes, message the seller before purchasing to align on split shipments or invoices.

Auctions

Bidding and winning

  1. 1Open an auction page, read the end time, reserve price, buyer’s premium if any, and shipping terms.
  2. 2Place bids manually or set a maximum for automatic bidding up to your cap.
  3. 3Watch the timer; sniping protection may extend the end time if bids arrive late—read the on-screen rules.
  4. 4If you win, complete payment in the required window; sellers ship after funds clear per the listing.

Tips

  • Verify your default payment method before bidding—failed payment can forfeit the win.
  • Set calendar reminders for auction endings in your timezone; server time on the page is authoritative.

Buy-for-Me

Submitting sourcing requests

  1. 1Open Buy-for-Me and describe the item: links, part numbers, preferred retailers, quantity, and max budget.
  2. 2Our team replies with landed cost estimates including procurement, consolidation, and duties where known.
  3. 3Approve the quote and pay the invoice; we purchase on your behalf and route goods through DropEx hubs.
  4. 4Track consolidated shipments like any other order; communicate changes only through the request thread for auditability.

Tips

  • Include screenshots if links geo-block—helps us quote faster.
  • Declare restricted categories honestly to avoid seizure or returns at origin.

Payments

Methods, refunds, and receipts

  1. 1Choose M-Pesa, bank transfer, card, or PayPal at checkout depending on corridor availability.
  2. 2Complete 3-D Secure or STK prompts in one session; abandoned sessions may release inventory back to stock.
  3. 3Refunds, when approved, return to the original method where regulations allow; timing depends on banks and mobile operators.
  4. 4Download PDF receipts from completed orders; contact finance for VAT invoices with your tax ID.

Tips

  • Match card billing addresses to your bank records to reduce declines on international carts.
  • For large transfers, initiate early in the day so same-day cutoffs with your bank can be met.
